Lisa Abel, MHA, FACHE has over 20 years of healthcare experience specializing in corporate compliance, regulatory compliance, HIPAA Privacy, Fraud Waste, and Abuse Compliance Program effectiveness reviews and performance improvement.
Experience:
Professional experience includes leadership roles at two large hospital systems where she was responsible for management of the Compliance Program to include privacy, policy, education, auditing and monitoring and investigations. As Director, Compliance Program and Privacy Officer for a national Medicare Advantage / Prescription Drug plan she was responsible for all operational audits and external regulatory reviews. Later, she went on to manage the CMS imposed sanction remediation initiative.
Lisa attended California State University Long Beach where she received a graduate degree in Healthcare administration. She is Board Certified in Healthcare Management by the American College of Healthcare Executive, a Senior Examiner for the California Awards for Performance Excellence and holds certifications in Lean and Six Sigma.
