Barbara Bristow Dickinson, MS, RD

Ms. Barbara Dickinson has over 40 years, gained high level expertise in the field of clinical dietetics and nutrition, including special know-how in the design and treatment of eating disorders programs. She is an established expert in anorexia, bulimia, and other types of disorders.  Counseling in medical nutrition therapy, disease specific therapeutic diets, wellness and health promotion activities, and managing/directing a number of  related programs in a variety of settings, are part of her expertise.  Her consulting focus includes the content, as well as the management and development of service programs in healthcare and medical settings.


Ms. Dickinson began working as a clinical dietitian in 1971 at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, followed by work in the burn unit at Brooke Army Medical Center. While pursuing a master’s degree in nutrition at Loma Linda University, she began work as an RD at the Center for Health Promotion.  Among her professional activities was her appointment as Director of the University’s comprehensive weight management program.  Ms. Dickinson was assistant professor in the School of Public Health, and in 2000 began work with the affiliated Medical Center/Hospital.  Just prior to joining The Fox Group, LLC, she worked for 15 years with the eating disorder program at the Behavioral Medicine Center, a Loma Linda University Health institution.
