- Better documentation, compliance, and “intelligent coding”. All leading to improved collections and security that things are being done right.
- Complete medical history is always available, even remotely. Enabling better decision making.
- Improved processes and reminder systems that can ultimately speed up patient visits and capture necessary follow-up items and preventive measures.
What’s more, requirements placed on EHR systems that are certified for “meaningful use” are much more stringent, and costly, than “stand alone” systems. So there are a fair amount of product and price alternatives that may still fit your individual needs as a practitioner.
